Crime of the Century

HOW DARE BIRD'S EYE "IMPROVE" THEIR CHICKEN TIKKA MASALA!!!!

It now tastes like chicken floating in tomato sauce. It's lost it's tikka masala, even the chicken doesn't taste as good. It was my favourite frozen meal, why couldn't they leave it alone?? Grrrr DONKEYS!!!!

I hate when food manufacturers "improve" things. They make things worse. It's just a label to stick on the food to cover up the fact that they are now using cheaper or less ingredients. It's not just with food in fact, with other products too. Ah, simple things annoy me. I'll just have to make my own chicken tikka masala from now on or go out to Indian restaurants.

I've been very rubbish at updating my blog with anything useful or entertaining of late. It's due to the fact I've been very busy .Yes, I've been incredibly busy sitting about daydreaming about someone very wonderful and when I've not been doing that I've been talking to this someone wonderful. In fact the percentage of time I have spent daydreaming about this someone wonderful is probably about 20% and the time I spend talking to this amazing person is around 70%, which leaves 10% of the time for me to talk to other people about my someone wonderful. So, as you can see my life is revolving around this person. In fact, this person is probably the best thing in my life at the moment really. I'm going to shut up now before I go off into another daydream..............

Anyway, in other news, I went to see Michael Nyman on saturday. Thoroughly odd chap, as many pianists seem to be. He did not smile once. He looked as miserable as a sack of potatoes through the whole thing. He can certainly play the piano though. I enjoyed him playing his pieces from the film The Piano which is one of my favourite films. However he played along to some really odd black and white films from the 1920's which were rather spooky and I found his accompanyment rather monotonous.

On sunday night, I went to see
Harry Hill and he was fantastic. He's so random. I love random! He made a woman come up on stage and play a game of interspecies swing ball with a hamster.

I ought to be in an Audio Typing class right now but I'm skiving mehehe. At least I'm still doing some typing. Although I don't have a voice calling me "Operator" and telling me what sort of thing I'm typing and what I have to type.
"Operator, this is a blog entry" hehehe

I'm confused

We have Horlicks in the house, which as I'm sure everyone knows is a malt drink you make with milk which helps you have a nice sleep.

Dad bought some Ovaltine the other day which is a malt drink that you make with milk which gives you energy and "helps you cope with today's hectic lifestyle".

They both have the same ingredients apart from Ovaltine having cocoa in it.

So if they are both essentially the same, how come one helps you sleep and the other one keeps you awake!!!????????????

Dad couldn't sleep at all the other night and he's convinced it was because he had Ovaltine before he went to bed.

Parental Approval

Isn't it great when your parents approve of your choices?

To celebrate, here are a couple of pictures of an Aberdeen sunset.

Some woman died, have a great holiday!!!!!

The following is a letter I found in a book I purchased in a second hand bookshop in Washington D.C. a few years ago. (The book was The Forest by Edward Rutherfurd which is entirely irrelevant).

The text of the letter is as follows:

December 29, 2002

Dear Marilyn,

Hope you had a good Christmas. We had both Leila and David here; fortunately both came on Christmas Eve before the big snows on Christmas.

Thanks for the cute little doll, soap and David's C.P. I know we will enjoy all of them.

Leila has a part in an off Broadway play in New York starting in the middle of January. I just hope it goes and runs for a while so she'll get paid for a couple of months or so.

David goes back today to Syracuse. He is chief archeologist at Fort Drum; I hope that lasts for a while too.

Marjorie June Jones Landau died in New York in November. She was an alcoholic, and it was a very sad affair.

Hope you have a good trip to Cuba.

Take care, happy new year,

Jane

Time for a new post

Well it really is time I updated. Not that I've anything to say really. My courses are going fine. I did the first test for ECDL. It was on PowerPoint and I passed it so that's one thing out of the way. The Audio typing class is a bit boring. We just do a past paper each week which doesn't take that long. The class is allocated two hours, but it takes me about 30 mins to do a paper and then check it. It's the sort of thing I could miss a few classes of if I'd something better to do or just generally couldn't be arsed.

Hmm....what else. Driving lessons are suspended. I'll have to get a new instructor methinks. Dad might take me out and let me drive the car tomorrow for a while hehe. It's been a couple of weeks since I've been driving. Piano lessons were also suspended while my parents were away, but should resume again this week. I'll have to email my piano teacher and sort that out.

I can't really think of anything else. Hmmm....... Has anyone been watching Coronation Street? It's getting very good at the moment.

Apparently, bird-watchers and the like are being asked to look out for birds showing signs of having bird flu. I saw a pigeon flying past earlier carrying a handkerchief.

Too Much Alcohol

Oh dear, I got very drunk last night after my mini dinner party which consisted of me, my friend and my rat, Henry. I made a pasta dish of my own creation and we had garlic bread and salad with it. I had candles and nice music and incense burning hehe. Without meaning to cause offence to my friend, there is someone very wonderful I would rather have had round for dinner. I'm sure he would really like my pasta dish.

I'm just finishing off the food that was left over from last night. I still have loads of dishes to do eek!! I think I went to bed at about 4 after talking random rubbish to Poppy for a few hours. I remember playing tin whistle very badly and drunkenly and I remember laughing a lot and going on about "Mrs Peggerty" whoever she is. Alcohol does strange things to the mind. I know I definitely had too much because I remember getting randomly upset and imagining all sorts of silly things.

I don't seem to have left much of a trail of destruction behind. In the old days I used to get very drunk and next morning find I'd posted alot of bizarre things on the Comedy Forum . I don't really seem to go there much these days. It's probably because I don't really watch TV anymore and have nothing to say about the things people talk about. Also, most of my forum buddies from the old days don't seem to post anymore either, apart from Poppy and Biscuits. I spend more time blogging these days and talking in "boxes" and I talk on the phone alot to a very special man hehe
